SUMMARY:Ace Week
DESCRIPTION:Ace Week (founded as Asexual Awareness Week in 2010) is an annual event that puts asexuality in the spotlight. Part celebration of the progress the asexual community has made\, and part campaign for greater understanding and acceptance of asexual-spectrum identities\, Ace Week is a time to focus on all things ace. \nAce is a shortened version of “asexual”\, and is often used to refer to people across the asexual spectrum.

SUMMARY:Transgender Day of Remembrance
DESCRIPTION:Transgender Day of Remembrance\, or TDOR\, is an annual observance held to honor the memories of transgender people who have died\, especially those killed by transphobic violence. \nWe’ve seen a much greater awareness of the issue of anti-transgender violence. We’ve seen successes in other battles for transgender rights. Yet we still see anti-transgender violence. Every year\, we still find ourselves with a list of people who have been violently murdered for simply being themselves. … This day we mourn our losses and we honor our precious dead — tomorrow and every other day\, we shall continue to fight for the living. \n– Transgender Day of Remembrance founder Gwendolyn Ann Smith
