DESCRIPTION:Come follow several Bible Belt ministers who identify as transgender and how they have overcome and continue to fight against religious discrimination. Join us in collaboration with UNCW in presenting the film Proper Pronouns\, February 7th! \nSynopsis provided by UNCW: \nOne transgender minister’s journey toward acceptance and reclamation \nProper Pronouns is a feature film that follows four transgender ministers fighting intolerance and discrimination in the Bible Belt\, in particular\, Dawn Flynn\, as she seeks validation in the pulpit and reconciliation in her marriage\, problems she did not face when she was Duane. \nSouthern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers connects documentary filmmakers and their impactful work with audiences throughout the South.\nSouthern Circuit screenings are funded in part by a grant from South Arts\, a regional arts organization\, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. \n
