Who We Are

Meet the Team!

Woody Goff, he/him/his, Executive Director

Woody is a native of the Carolinas. He attended Coastal Carolina University, and received degrees in Elementary Education and Psychology. Woody has a background in nonprofit management working with youth and the LGBTQIA+ community.

“I’m excited to be able to use my skills and passion to serve the LGBTQIA+ residents of the Cape Fear, and look forward to building and strengthening partnerships that support and serve our community.”

Woody moved to Wilmington in 2021, where he resides with his partner Derrick and their two dogs.

Cal Schutte, he/him/his, Intern and QYLC Administrator

Cal is a Wilmington native who has volunteered in his town for years. As a lifelong LGBTQ+ activist, he strives to gain awareness about the political and social issues that queer people face while also trying to bring joy and fun to the queer community. As someone who is both trans and disabled, he is dedicated to making the Center a place that is both inclusive of and accessible to everyone.

In his free time, Cal enjoys making art, studying nature, and spending time with his two pet cats, Snickers and Doodle.

Haley Robbins, she/her/hers, Intern

Haley just moved to the Wilmington area in August. Studying to become a social worker, she has found her passion in working with the LGBTQ+ community. Haley plans to use her social work background to spread awareness for the social and political issues that the LGBTQ+ community faces on a daily basis.

In her free time, Haley enjoys listening to music, soaking up the sun at the beach, and doing crafts.
