Cynthia has been in Wilmington since late 2021 after retiring and traveling the country in a RV. She was looking for a home base and decided that Wilmington was the place she wanted to plant roots. It is a friendly southern town, has a large and growing LGBTQ community, is dog friendly (I have 2 little rascals), and has a very attractive climate on the coast.

Her involvement in the LGBTQ community in the Cape Fear Region was rapid and extensive. She first joined the group for LGBTQ Seniors age 50+, originally SAGE and now Silver Pride Circle. Her interests include helping to promote more diversity and collaboration in our community. As a board member of the LGBTQ Center of the Cape Fear Coast, she is proactive in helping to bring the Center through growth and visibility, including an actual Center building to create a community hub for multiple LGBTQ groups in the area.
