Operations & Program Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Status: Non-Exempt part time; 15 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $15.00/hour
Probation: 60 days

Job Summary:
The Operations & Programming Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for administrative and operational support tasks related to the LGBTQ Center’s business activities and programs.

Schedule: The primary hours for this role will fall between 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m Mon-Fri. The Coordinator will work Wednesdays from 5:00-8:30 p.m. and some weekends as needed, depending on Center programming.

Work Environment:
The LGBTQ Center is a do-it-yourself, start-up type of environment experiencing rapid growth. You will need the ability to work well independently, within a cross-functional environment, and with diverse communities. We are looking for someone who is comfortable asking questions, taking initiative, and learning as we grow!

Position Responsibilities:
Interact with the community and our members at the Center to create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment,
Help coordinate volunteers at the Center for events, tabling, and drop-in hours,
Ensure a timely response to phone messages and emails received at the Center,
Update and maintain the Center website and social media accounts,
Open mail, sort and take appropriate action,
General filing and organization, ordering supplies, ensuring the Center is fully stocked,
Provide administrative assistance to the Executive Director as needed,
Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
Ability, desire, and commitment to work and identify with LGBTQ+ communities of varying socioeconomic classes, identities, and racial/ethnic backgrounds;
Outgoing personality with high level of comfort meeting new people, engaging in social situations, and working in collaboration with others;
Strong attention to detail, great follow-through, and fantastic communication skills;
Ability to work independently and with limited supervision as well as be part of a team;
Knowledge and familiarity with MS Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, MailChimp, Canva, WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok.
